MRLG is encouraging the reform actors and governments from the CLMV countries to exchange and learn from each other, as well as to develop policy dialogue process ate the regional level.
A regional forum is organized on a yearly basis. The first Regional Stakeholders workshop was organized in Bangkok in March 2015 (link to report). The next regional forum will be organized in Vientiane, in May 2016, and will be combined with the regional summer School organized by GIZ.
The project has initiated three regional learning and advocacy activities, in partnership with a range of regional and country level reform actors. The three themes are :
– The recognition of customary tenure (in partnership with FAO, Oxfam, AIPP)
– Research based policy dialogue on the impacts of Foreign Direct investments in agriculture and large scale land based investments (in partnership with Mekong Institute)
– Engaging with private sector for responsible investment in the agricultural sector (in partnership wit Oxfam) (link with Table L& A)
It also encourages cross border visits and the development of regional links between the existing national platforms.
